We are happy to announce that FISA will support Alstom with the refurbishment of CrossCountry’s Voyager and Super Voyager trains (https://www.alstom.com/press-releases-news/2024/8/alstom-refurbish-crosscountrys-voyager-fleet-ps60-million-upgrade) for the scope of new First and Standard Class seats, and bay tables, which will replace the old ones across the entire fleet, owned by the leasing company Beacon Rail.
The work will be carried out at Alstom’s historic Derby Litchurch Lane Works in the UK, and encompasses 312 cars, comprising 136 Voyager (Class 220) and 176 Super Voyager (Class 221) vehicles respectively. 252 cars belong to the existing CrossCountry fleet, while an additional 12 trains – totalling 60 additional carriages – will be added following their release from Avanti West Coast.
This marks a major milestone for FISA, and reinforces our strong commitment and growing influence within the UK railway market.
